Why do people Use eBay?

The answer is simple. They sell items and they buy items. There are millions of people the whole world over who – even as you are reading this – are browsing the listings on eBay, looking for items to buy, or placing item details and pictures of the things they want to sell. And what specifically do they look for?

They look for items relating to a range of subjects
Personal interests
Hobbies
Lifestyle
Tools
Clothes
Toys

The list is endless. There are specific buyers and there are browsers who if they see a something that could improve or enhance their lives they are very likely buy it.
If you are a seller then this equates to pure. In order to tap into a market that numbers millions of people throughout the world, all you have to do is log in to your eBay account. List your item for sale either as an auction or as a 'buy now' item. Write a good description of the item accompanied by a good picture and list it in the right category.

eBay is by far the easiest place to find customers for your items. Web sites can come and go but if you don’t have the traffic then you won’t sell a thing. At eBay you have the traffic already there. All you have to do is list the item correctly.

This over simplification does illustrate the point that there are numerous advantages to selling your items on eBay as opposed to anywhere else. Results are realised quickly and the cost is minimal. Listing an item for ten days is fairly cheap and for that time it becomes available to millions of eBay members worldwide. Providing they, are seeing it within the categories that they are browsing, the sale will come. How can I be so sure? Because they wouldn’t be browsing the category, if they were not looking to buy.

eBay is exposure, to buyers and for buyer’s eBay is exposure to product, the sheer numbers of people using the site brings all this about.  So what am I saying? Oh yes! I am answering the question posed at the top of the article. People use eBay because it is the number one place to buy and sell items for people all over the world.
